The U.S. Army Model 1872 Hagner No. 1 leather ammunition pouch is a historic piece of military equipment from the Indian Wars era, designed to hold 24 .50-70 caliber metallic cartridges for Springfield rifles.
Developed by Major P.V. Hagner and adopted around 1871–1872 by the infantry and cavalry equipment boards.
