The Army M1872 Hagner cartridge box (sometimes referred to as a cartridge pouch) is a piece of U.S. military equipment from the post-Civil War and Indian Wars era, designed by Colonel Peter V. Hagner of the Ordnance Department.
Designed for .50-70 caliber cartridges (with a single row of loops sewn onto the front of the box).
